In a continued collaboration with the Providence Institute for Transformative Leadership the Catholic Women’s Leadership Foundation of Canada is proud to announce a 7-week program for Alumni of the Catholic Women’s Leadership Foundational Program.

Offer an Online Learning Program: Our primary goal is to provide a valuable online learning experience for alumni of the Catholic Women’s Leadership Foundational Program (CWLFP).
Create a Learning Community: We aim to foster a strong learning community among the cohorts of CWLFP alumni, promoting collaboration and support.

The next chapter in the Alumni Program Offering is a CWLFP Lenten Retreat: A Pilgrimage of Healing and Peace

Program Structure

Duration: This program spans 7 weeks and is a hybrid of online and interactive learning.
Who Can Join: Open to all alumni of the Catholic Women’s Leadership Foundational Program (CWLFP).
Building on Previous Learnings: Our program is designed to build upon the foundational knowledge gained from the CWLFP, further developing your transformative leadership capacities.
Active Participation: Participants will engage in discussions and reflections to integrate principles of transformative leadership into their personal, spiritual, professional, and community lives.
Diverse Learning Resources: We provide a rich learning environment with resources such as pre-recorded videos, readings, and discussion forums. We also introduce current insights in leadership development.
Live Webinars and Facilitated Discussions: Join live webinars and discussions to build relationships and co-learn with fellow participants.
Small Circle Discussions: In our safe and supportive small circles, you can share experiences, address challenges, foster reflection, enhance self-awareness, and build your capacity for purposeful action.

Program Learning Outcomes

This seven-week retreat explores various aspects of our growth in faith and leadership practice. As Pilgrims of Hope, the Lenten season provides an opportunity for deep reflection, some stepping back, and ‘time in the desert.’ It is a time for healing and a commitment to peace. This Lenten pilgrimage aligns with the Holy Year and our journey toward the Fifty Days of Easter.

Through prayer, music, scripture, and discussion, we will strengthen each other as Catholic Women Leaders to better embody our role as ‘Pilgrims of Hope.’

Expectations of Participant Engagement

To make the most of this program, participants are expected to:

Complete Program Content: Ensure you complete the program content in each of the program parts.
Participate in Zoom Sessions: Each block will start with a Zoom session on the first Sunday at 6 pm Eastern time, followed by additional content on the online platform.

Weeks 1 & 2 - Strengthened by Prayer on Our Way

How does our prayer life transform us as we grow spiritually?
We will explore different forms of prayer and allowing ourselves to be open to the Spirit in new ways.

March 8 - March 22, 2025

Weeks 3 & 4 – Where do We Need to be Reconciled?

‘Create in me a clean heart, O God.’ This Lenten psalm illustrates our need for renewal. Lent is a time for ‘metanoia’
Participants will contemplate healing, justice and balance in life.
Jesus was a healer. We will explore scripture passages where Jesus brings healing.

March 23 - April 5, 2025

Weeks 5 & 6 – Our Place in All of Creation

The Holy Year theme is ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ for a world suffering from the climate crisis, war, conflict and illness. We look to the saints and to the work of Pope Francis to guide our creative thinking in response to ongoing suffering.

Week 7– Coming Out of the Desert: Meeting the Christ of the Cross.
