Patricia Li recently served as the Vice-Chair of the Catholic Women’s Leadership Foundation has been a director on the Board since July 2019.
She is a graduate of the Ivey Business School, Western University, a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA) and an Institute-Certified Director (ICD.D).
Patricia was an accomplished senior executive with a diverse portfolio with the Ontario Public Service. She was an Assistant Deputy Minister within the Health Ministry for the last 10 years to provide emergency health services to all Ontarians and funding assistance for assistive devices and medical supplies to people with disabilities including managing the Ontario Health insurance program and advocating for the rights of mental health patients in health facilities across the province.
Prior to her work in the health care portfolio, Patricia led significant transformation initiatives within Ontario by working with a diverse group of stakeholders to restructure and improve either operational or business models. She was the Government’s Executive Advisor with the Royal Botanical Gardens to modernize Canada’s largest botanical garden and cultural tourism attraction. She was the Executive Lead to integrate government services to the public within ServiceOntario. She was part of the interim Senior Executive Team to transform the EHealth Ontario agency to improve patient care and access to health records in support of the government’s health strategy.
She is the Senior Vice President, Operations and Business Optimization at CPA Canada.
Her deep interest in promoting diversity and inclusivity led her to be actively involved in being an executive champion in mentorship and leadership programs.
She has a passion for board governance and has been an independent director in a number of organizations. She was previously a director with the Ontario Pension Board, a trustee with the OPSEU Pension Trust, and a commissioner with the Niagara Parks Commission. She is currently a director at Diabetes Canada and the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
