Lisa Fillingham joined the Board of Directors for the Catholic Women’s Leadership Foundation (CWLF) in March 2021.
Lisa lives in St. Catharines, Ontario. She has a Business degree from Brock University with a minor in Political Science. Her degree took her to a career in finance, both in financial advising and managerial positions.
These work positions granted her the ability to represent the companies in many volunteer capacities. The YWCA Daycare, YMCA, Niagara Peninsula Children’s Center, Wellspring Niagara to name a few. Lisa found it very fulfilling to volunteer her time and make a difference in the community.
Lisa has been married 32 years to Geoff, and has two grown daughters, Kendra and Laura. She was a Catholic Women’s League (CWL) Parish President for 4 years, has held corresponding secretary, communications cand organization chair positions on Diocesan and is President-/elect for the St. Catharines Diocese. She is also on her Parish Council and involved with different ministries and events at Star of the Sea in Port Dalhousie where her family have been members for 31 years.
Lisa became an active member of the Parish CWL and has never looked back. Lisa truly never knew what was missing from her faith and life, until her involvement grew with the CWL. Her love of Christ and our Blessed Mother grew exponentially through her Spiritual Adviser, Spiritual Development Chair, and the works of the CWL. The Beatitudes and Corporal Acts of Mercy are lived very evidently through the actions and involvement of the CWL.
This love led her to the CWLF. Lisa completed the CWLF program in Transformative Leadership and Spirituality in the second cohort and is happy to become a new board member.
