Liza Jose

Liza Jose joined the Board of Directors for the Catholic Women’s Leadership Foundation in March 2021.

Liza is from Richmond, BC and is an Associate Director of Information Technology at the University of British Columbia.  She has actively participated and led various initiatives at her parish and in the local community, including co-writing, leading and directing an original musical that raised $300K+ for her local/international faith community.

Liza’s position at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and previous role at Simon Fraser University (SFU) ultimately support teaching, learning and research. Liza has earned her Master of Education in Adult Learning and Education at UBC and has completed the Catholic Women’s Leadership Foundation program in Transformative Leadership and Spirituality. In her various leadership roles, she finds that her MEd and Transformative Leadership programs complement both her undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering and Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (GDBA, Simon Fraser University).

Liza believes that we need to inspire, mobilize and increase female leaders in the Catholic community. Female Catholic leaders will advocate for sustainable solution to challenges that women face that preserve and respect our faith, and education is a key mobilizing factor in this journey.
